We were born from the ambition to start a company that manufactured quality emission control products to serve the natural gas industry. In the spring of 2000, with over forty years of experience in the oil and gas industry and ten years in the engine industry, we began EMIT Technologies Inc. in Sheridan, Wyoming.
Our initial focus was product development, based on the understanding of the industry’s various customer types and their needs. Products designed from the end user’s perspective. EMIT’s product line was developed based on the need for effective solutions to control natural gas engine emissions; solutions that raised the standard in the face of our competition and complied with increasingly stringent environmental regulations. Key products resulted from this understanding: the catalytic converter, the combination silencer/catalytic converter and the EDGE line of air/fuel ratio controllers. These products work together to mitigate natural gas emissions and can be customized for any natural gas engine. It was these products that would become the signatures of our business.
We entered an established market as a new entity. However, in a market inundated with misleading information, faulty products, and unacceptable customer service, our sales and overall market share would grow substantially over the course of the following years. We centered around a core philosophy to provide the best product, best service and integration of cutting edge technology as it becomes available and cost effective. Staying true to the course, with products and service that shined with quality and reliability, our overall growth has been a result of our core integrity and desire to provide a better solution for our customers and the natural gas industry.
